Vueling will start operating direct connection Barcelona / Faro in the summer of next year, it was announced by the Turismo do Algarve.
2025 update. On 30 November Faro airport set a new record in terms of passenger numbers having
welcomed six million passengers in eleven months.
On April 2014 the UK flag-carrier British Airways has re-launched a direct flight between London Heathrow and the Algarve more than ten years after it first suspended the service to Faro.
